Although most of the time Daniel will act like a moe sheepish, childish, nervous, obvious-stating guy, don't forget he was able to torture and murder all those people, including little children, for his own, selfish needs, and take satisfaction from that. No matter how many weird potions he'll take, and how much he regrets it, he can't change his past. Or the fact there exists a dark side of him. Conclusion – don't be surprised if this scaredy pants does or says something... unexpected. Sometimes even out of the blue, like the evil voices in the actual game.
